The Hunting Exhibition offers an unparalleled collection of trophies obtained from five continents; some of the exhibits are world records. Most of the trophies are displayed in their natural environment.

The collection, compiled by one of the founders of the museum Bála Hidvégi, represents an unparalleled value in Europe. The most popular part of the exhibition is where big games of five continents are shown, in life size, placed in their natural environment. The hunting museum was established when Ferenc Windisch-Grätz donated his collection of over a hundred trophies to the museum (which is also part of the current display). Another collection, that of Baron György Dózsa, was also a significant addition to the exhibition. The exhibition also pays tribute to two of the most renowned Hungarian hunters, Zsigmond Széchenyi and Kálmán Kittenberg, and also introduces the life and work of Ákos Szederjei and Endre Nagy.

Visitors may find it interesting to learn that the Festetics family had also earned fame as collectors of trophies. The area was rich in game, and most high-ranking aristocrats were always keen on passing time with hunting. Unfortunately, the trophy collection of the Festetics Palace was destroyed in the war.

At the Model Railway Exhibition, located at the attic area of the building, visitors can find one of the largest model railways available in Europe with the accurate copy of three European railway lines. The models of railway stations from Germany, Austria and Hungary are the faithful copies of the original edifices. The model trains rumble through hills and valleys, go past 1,800 tiny buildings, on a total of 2.7 km railway lines offering a selection of engines and train sets from the past 200 years.
